Tina, a mother of twin boys in Florida suffered an ischemic bowel emergency that wasn´t attended to timely. The mom suffered the consequences of being ignored and not treated properly, which sadly resulted in her suffering from what is referred to as anoxic encephalopathy, and her ultimately passing away.
The death could have been avoided and should have been avoided but for the negligence of the treating doctors. The treating doctors failed this patient and failed this family, and the family was required to go to a trial to find justice. That´s when the family reached out to Brett Panter at Panter, Panter & Sampedro.
The family with their lawyer, Mr. Panter, his partner, Mr. David Sampedro, and referring counsel and lifelong friend, John Perez, proceeded to a jury trial. The matter was vigorously defended despite all attempts to resolve the matter.
At the closing arguments, Mr. Panter provided a tribute to this family by presenting two minutes of silence, including a video of the family and the catastrophic nature of the loss of a mother of young twin boys. Mr. Panter believes that silence is golden, and lawyers need to learn that sometimes “less is more.”
Unfortunately, the doctors were not attentive, but a jury provided justice in the only way it can by rendering a multimillion-dollar verdict, secured by Mr. Panter and Mr. Sampedro’s efforts in the trial.
