If you’re attacked by a dog, the last thing you probably expect to hear is that the person responsible for the pet doesn’t think dogs are dangerous. You’re probably concerned that such a dangerous animal could be released back into the public, and you want to know that the owner takes your injuries seriously. While your case may be able to be worked out, with your attorney helping you get compensation and the guarantee that the animal will be kept away from innocent people, that isn’t quite the situation for this man.
In a case out of Panama City, a man was brutally attacked by several dogs while he was at Joe Moody Harris Park. He was jogging when the dogs came after him and attacked at around 8:30 a.m. He was left wounded and is still in the hospital, but that doesn’t mean the dogs are vicious, according to their owner.
She claims she takes responsibility, but she doesn’t think her dogs are dangerous. According to her claims, they don’t normally attack, so she thinks that they were provoked either by the man or another dog.
The dogs had escaped from her yard, which is fenced. She has allegedly faced this kind of situation before. In 2014, a man stated that the dogs came after him when he was riding his bike near the home. In 2015, one dog reportedly jumped the fence and went after a garbage man. The woman’s fifth dog is still on the loose, so residents are meant to keep an eye out for him.
