Pinecrest Business Association – A Message From the Vice President For Government Relations
JUNE 5-19, 2000 BY MITCHELL PANTER The Vice-President in charge of Government Relations shall assist the President in the performance of his-her duties, shall per-form the duties of the President in his-her absence and shall perform such other duties as the Board of Directors may prescribe. He-she shall act as the association liaison to the Village of Pinecrest governing body and shall represent the association in all matters where the Board of directors deems involve-ment in Village politics appropriate or necessary; He-she shall act as Chairman of the Government Relations Committee and shall oversee all activities concerning govern men-tal relations.The duties and responsibilities of the Vice-President in charge of Government Relations set forth above is quoted from the Bylaws of Pinecrest Business Association, Inc. The above description details my role for the upcoming year. What we really want to do is to help the 600 Pinecrest Business Owners get along with the Village of Pinecrest and resolve any issues that arise on both an individual basis and as a collective group.
It is our plan to attend all Village of Pinecrest council meetings, which are held at the Pinecrest Village Flail on the second Tuesday of the month, usually starting at 7:00 p.m. An Agenda for the meeting is usually completed by the Thursday preceding the Council meeting.
As set forth in the bylaws, the board of directors will decide which issues. mandate involvement of our organization with the Village of Pinecrest. However, we need your input.
