Panter, Panter, & Sampedro Awards Scholarship to Miami Palmetto Senior High Student
MIAMI – June 4, 2020 – Panter, Panter & Sampedro (PPS) is proud to announce that it has awarded Jasmine Thompson of Miami Palmetto Senior High School as the 2020 recipient of its annual scholarship.
Thompson is a rising Elementary Education major with a focus on special education. Throughout her years at Palmetto, she was in the Early Childhood Program during which she obtained a Department of Children and Families (DCF) certification. She is set to graduate with a 4.4 GPA weighted as well as with dual enrollment credits.
“This year, through early childhood at Palmetto, I worked with some students at Palmetto Elementary who were in the LEAP program and that was where I fell in love with the area. I am also the oldest of 9 siblings,” says Thompson. “In the next few weeks, I will begin my summer classes remotely, at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. My future plans are to become a Pre-K teacher, specifically for children with autism.”
“At Panter, Panter & Sampedro, we are dedicated to helping young people move forward in their education,” said Mitch Panter, managing partner of PPS. “We want to help those students who have the ability, drive, and motivation to go to college, but also those who strive to make a difference in the world. Students like Jasmine show their community and family that they can and will make a difference. She is an inspiration to us all.”
