Panter, Panter & Sampedro And South Miami Kendall Bar Association Announce Annual Scholarship Winner

MIAMI – April 29, 2015 – Panter, Panter & Sampedro, P.A. (PPS) together with the South Miami Kendall Bar Association (SMKBA) announced the recipient of their annual high school scholarship this week, Evanna Ojeda.
Ojeda, who attends the School for Advanced Studies, could not be present to accept the $1,500 scholarship as she was asked to speak at an event at her school, which was attended by Superintendent of Miami Dade County Public Schools, Alberto Carvalho. Her father accepted the award on her behalf.
“It is an honor to be have been considered and awarded this prestigious scholarship,” said Ojeda in an acceptance email.
“The recipients of this award are extraordinary individuals and Evanna is no exception,” said Joshua Wintle, attorney at PPS and director and past president of SMKBA. “She has already accomplished so much in high school and we can’t wait to see what her collegiate career and professional career have in store for her.”
To qualify for the scholarship, the recipient must be a high school student who is enrolled in, or has taken a law studied class, or participated in a Moot Court Program, Debate Program or has participated in the Executive Internship Program at a law office during the 2014-2015 school year. The scholarship is based upon financial need, scholarship achievement and extra curricular activities.
