Panter, Panter, & Sampedro, P.A. (PPS) in partnership with the Pinecrest Business Association (PBA) is proud to announce the recipient of its annual collegiate scholarship. Mr. James Seungyeon Choi, a senior at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, was presented with the $2,000 check during a PBA luncheon on May 15.Every May, PPS and the PBA award a scholarship to an outstanding high school student in Pinecrest. To qualify, students must attend either Gulliver Preparatory School or Miami Palmetto Senior High School, demonstrate a minimum GPA of 3.5 and provide recommendations from at least one teacher as well as their guidance counselor. In addition, students must provide an application that includes a well-thought out answer to an essay question, transcripts, a full resume and their community service record. The scholarship is payable directly to the student’s college or university.”Every year it amazes me what these students have accomplished during their high school career,” says Mitchell Panter, founding partner of PPS. “Not only are they brilliant, but they are also extremely invested in their community, providing hundreds of hours of service. It is an honor to help fund their collegiate career. We look forward to all that Mr. Choi will accomplish throughout college and beyond.”
