April 2017 Product Recalls
- Campbell Soup Company is recalling 4,185 pounds of chicken soup products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The 18.6 ounce cans of Campbell’s Homemade Healthy Request Chicken with Whole Grain Pasta with a “best by” date of February 13, 2019 and an establishment number of Est.4R may contain a different soup, which may contain milk where it is not labeled. If you bought one of these soups, you are urged to throw it away or return it to the retailer where you purchased the product.
- Banquet Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese meals are being recalled because the brownie mix included in this meal may contain Salmonella. This product is produced by Conagra Brands with code 3100080921, and a “best by” date of July 20, 2018. If you have purchased one of these products, you can contact Conagra Brands Consumer Affairs at 1800-289-6014.
- All models of Poco Plus or Poco Premium nylon child backpack carriers made between January 2012 and December 2014 in the colors of “Romper Red,” “Koala Grey” and “Bouncing Blue” are being recalled due to the fact that children may slip through the leg openings. These products were sold at REI, Amazon.com, and other specialty outdoor stores from January 2012 to December 2015. - Toyota is recalling 250,000 2016-2017 Tacoma trucks. The rear wheels on these vehicles have the potential to lock up causing the driver to lose control. All owners will be notified by mail in June 2017.
- McCain Foods USA is recalling frozen hash browns as they may contain pieces of golf balls. These two pound bags of Harris Teeter Southern Style Hash Browns have the production code of B170119. If your purchased this item, do not consume it and bring it back to the retailer.
- Standard Homeopathic Company is recalling Hyland’s homeopathic teething products for infants. The FDA concluded that the products mislabeled the amount of belladonna alkaloids present in the product, which could cause adverse effects, and have been linked to 10 infant deaths. To request a refund for this product call 1800-991-3376. Do not allow your children to use these products and immediately dispose of them.
- Target is recalling water-absorbing Easter and Dino toys because if they are swallowed by children they could expand internally and cause intestinal problems. Do not allow your children to use these products and return them immediately to the store for a full refund.
- Teavana tea company is recalling their Flip Tumblers, which can leak hot liquid and cause burns. If you purchased a tumbler, stop using it and return it to the store, or contact Teavana for a mailer label to receive store credit for your return.
- Razor Ripstik motorized caster boards are being recalled due to a fall hazard. The rear wheel can stop rotating and lock up, causing conditions that can lead to a fall. If you own one of these, do not use it, and contact Razor for a free repair kit at 1-866-467-2967.
- Fred Meyer Children’s hooded sweatshirts and girls’ bomber jackets have been recalled due to a choking and laceration hazard due to the fact that the zipper pull can detach. Return any products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
It’s always important to pay attention to these, as well as any product recalls, that may impact purchases you’ve made.
